Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Test Automation Engineer to join our team for an onsite position in Missouri. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through the development and implementation of robust automated testing strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test automation frameworks, particularly with Cucumber and Java, and a passion for delivering high-quality software.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Cucumber and Java.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to understand project requirements and translate them into effective test cases.
- Execute automated test suites, analyze results, and report defects with detailed information.
- Identify opportunities for test automation and implement solutions to improve efficiency and coverage.
- Participate in code reviews for test automation scripts to ensure quality and maintainability.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing process and methodologies.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure testing efforts align with business objectives.
- Perform regression testing to ensure new features do not impact existing functionality.
- Document test plans, test cases, and test results.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in test automation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Test Automation Engineer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Java programming language.
- Hands-on experience with Cucumber for behavior-driven development (BDD).
- Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium WebDriver).
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
