Role Overview: WMS Consultant (Manhattan Active)
Quantum World Technologies Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated WMS Consultant to join our team for a critical onsite project in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a high-impact Contract-to-Hire opportunity designed for professionals who thrive in dynamic warehouse environments and possess a deep understanding of modern supply chain execution systems. As the industry shifts toward cloud-native solutions, this role focuses specifically on the Manhattan Active Warehouse Management (WM) and Transportation Management (TM) platforms. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the ongoing CCG warehouse implementation, ensuring that the transition to Manhattan Active is seamless, efficient, and fully optimized for the client’s unique operational needs.
Key Responsibilities and Technical Scope
- Lead and contribute to the implementation of Manhattan Active WM and TM modules, focusing on foundational configuration and system integration.
- Execute complex test scenarios to validate system functionality, performance, and reliability within the warehouse environment.
- Manage the defect lifecycle by identifying, documenting, and tracking issues to resolution, collaborating closely with technical and operational stakeholders.
- Provide expert guidance on Manhattan Active platform features, leveraging previous implementation experience to avoid common pitfalls and optimize workflows.
- Publish and present detailed progress reports to senior leadership, ensuring transparency regarding project milestones, risks, and resource allocation.
- Facilitate communication between IT teams and warehouse operations to ensure technical solutions align with physical logistics requirements.
- Support the ‘Contract to Hire’ transition by demonstrating long-term value, leadership, and a deep commitment to the project’s success.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
The ideal candidate must possess a strong foundational knowledge of Manhattan Active WMS. While experience with legacy Manhattan versions is valuable, specific exposure to the ‘Active’ (cloud-native) platform is a primary requirement for this role. Candidates with a proven track record of at least one full-lifecycle implementation on the Manhattan Active platform will be given significant preference. Beyond technical skills, we are looking for a consultant with exceptional communication abilities who can translate complex technical concepts into actionable business insights. You should be comfortable working onsite in Pittsburgh and participating in the hands-on aspects of a warehouse rollout, including testing on the floor and coordinating with local management. This role requires a proactive problem-solver who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $195,000 per year (Estimated)
