Role Overview
The Workday Integration Developer – Finance is a critical senior-level position responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of complex integrations within the Workday ecosystem. This role focuses specifically on the Finance technology stack, supporting core financial operations that drive organizational success. As a senior developer with over 12 years of experience, you will be expected to lead large-scale transformation initiatives, ensuring that the Finance technology ecosystem is resilient, scalable, and fundamentally sound. You will champion a culture of technical excellence and automation, leveraging your deep expertise to deliver innovative solutions that optimize functional and technical processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with product owners to understand application capabilities and define comprehensive testing scenarios.
- Translate complex business priorities into technical requirements while aligning with the broader Finance value propositions and strategic goals.
- Design and deliver robust solutions on the Workday platform across various Finance modules, including General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Expenses, Global Consolidation, Invoices, Payments, and Suppliers.
- Maintain high standards of code quality and process efficiency through well-structured development practices.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders to influence technical solutions across business partners.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and collaborate with Finance stakeholders to redesign business processes for optimal outcomes.
- Stay at the forefront of Workday technology, keeping up with platform updates, fixes, and new capabilities to ensure the organization leverages the latest features.
- Develop and maintain thorough documentation for system implementations and ongoing support to ensure knowledge transfer and system stability.
- Act as the primary technical contact for functional and technical questions related to the Workday Finance system.
- Provide high-level production support by troubleshooting complex issues, testing potential solutions, and partnering with business users to resolve problems efficiently.
Technical Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent, with a strong preference for a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field. You must have at least 4 years of dedicated Workday platform engineering experience and a minimum of 2 years specifically focused on designing and developing integration solutions. Proficiency with Workday APIs (REST and SOAP) is essential. Preferred candidates will have over 5 years of experience across the full suite of Workday Finance modules and 3+ years of experience in integration development. Experience with Workday Extend, cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, and working in an Agile environment is highly desirable. Workday Integration Developer certifications are a significant plus. This role requires a candidate who can navigate the complexities of a hybrid work environment while delivering top-tier technical results.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $185,000 – $235,000 per year (Estimated)
