Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with extensive experience in eliciting requirements, managing software development lifecycles, and re-engineering business processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of user stories, use cases, and UX best practices, along with excellent communication and facilitation skills. This role requires a candidate who is local to Texas and has documented experience working with state agencies, particularly in the education sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Elicit requirements through interviews with customers and stakeholders.
- Create well-written system requirements and functional specifications.
- Manage and contribute to software development life cycles (SDLCs).
- Perform business process re-engineering and identify software process flow improvements.
- Develop user stories and use cases that conform to business analysis best practices.
- Design mockups and/or wireframes that conform to UX best practices.
- Demonstrate strong communication and facilitation skills in all interactions.
- Showcase strong writing and organization skills in documentation and deliverables.
- Document work experience with issue tracking software such as Atlassian Jira.
- Document work experience with requirements management software like Modern Requirements.
- Provide documented experience working for or closely with TEA or another state or local education agency.
- Leverage experience with K-12 instructional materials and/or the instructional material procurement process.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience eliciting requirements from interviews with customers and creating well-written system requirements.
- Minimum 10 years of experience with software development life cycles (SDLCs).
- Minimum 8 years of experience in business process re-engineering and software process flow improvement.
- Minimum 8 years of experience developing user stories and use cases that conform to business analysis best practices.
- Minimum 8 years of experience designing mockups and/or wireframes that conform to UX best practices.
- Minimum 5 years of demonstrated strong communication and facilitation skills.
- Minimum 5 years of demonstrated strong writing and organization skills.
- Minimum 3 years of documented work experience with the issue tracking software
Special Requirements
Must be local to Texas only. GC candidates require Passport Copy. Visa status, exact city, and location of consultant must be mentioned.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $90,000 – $130,000 per year (Estimated)
