Job Title: Lead Data Engineer with Java Programming Experience
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Data Engineer with strong Java programming expertise to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for designing, developing, and implementing scalable, high-performance database solutions and integrating them seamlessly across enterprise systems. You will play a key role in technical leadership, client interaction, and ensuring the successful delivery of data solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable, high-performance database solutions using PostgreSQL and Snowflake.
- Build and optimize data models, schemas, and queries for efficient data processing and analytics.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices using Java.
- Enable seamless API consumption and integration across enterprise systems.
- Act as a primary point of contact for client stakeholders, participating in requirement discussions, solution design, and status updates.
- Provide technical leadership and direction to offshore teams, ensuring quality, timelines, and alignment with client expectations.
- Support onsite coordination, including issue resolution, design decisions, and delivery governance.
- Implement best practices for data governance, security, and performance tuning.
- Work with or support data catalog tools to manage metadata, lineage, and data discoverability.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience in PostgreSQL and Snowflake (database design, development, and performance tuning).
- Hands-on experience with Java and Microservices architecture.
- Experience in API design, development, and consumption (RESTful services).
- Solid understanding of data modeling and distributed systems.
- Proven experience in a client-facing role with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in an onsite/offshore delivery model.
- Experience in the fintech/payments domain is preferred.
- Exposure to data catalog and metadata management tools is a plus.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $120,000 – $160,000 per year (Estimated)
