SAP MM Consultant (SAP MMT + Ariba Preferred)

Role Description:
- Configure and support SAP MM modules: PRPO, Pricing, Release Strategy, Inventory Management, Vendor Material Master, LIV (MIRO)
- Manage procurement processes including Subcontracting, Consignment, Service Procurement
- Implement and support SAP Ariba modules: Ariba Buying Invoicing, Ariba Sourcing, Ariba Contracts, Ariba SLP
- Configure Ariba workflows, catalogs, approval rules, templates
- Resolve Ariba SAP integration issues (CIGCI9)
- Prepare BRDFS, test scripts, support UAT and GoLive
- Work with business users, procurement teams, and suppliers
This role requires a deep understanding of SAP MM functionalities and a strong command of SAP Ariba for procurement processes. The ideal candidate will be adept at configuring the system, troubleshooting issues, and providing comprehensive documentation. Experience with Procure to Pay (P2P) processes is essential, along with a solid grasp of Ariba integration and its various modules like Guided Buying, Sourcing, and Supplier Lifecycle Performance. The ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, procurement teams, and suppliers is crucial for success in this position. The role involves hands-on configuration, support, and problem-solving, ensuring the smooth operation of the procurement systems.
Key responsibilities include managing procurement processes such as subcontracting, consignment, and service procurement. The consultant will also be responsible for implementing and supporting SAP Ariba modules, configuring workflows, catalogs, and approval rules. Resolving integration issues between Ariba and SAP (CIGCI9) will be a critical part of the job. The role demands a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues, ensuring data integrity, and optimizing procurement operations. The candidate should be comfortable preparing test scripts, supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and assisting with Go-Live activities. Strong communication and analytical skills are necessary to effectively interact with various teams and stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in SAP MM and SAP Ariba. A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is important. This is an onsite contract role, requiring the candidate to be present at the Austin, TX location. The contract duration is expected to be for a significant period, with potential for extension based on performance and project needs.
