Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA Automation Engineer with a strong focus on Accessibility to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of experience in automation testing, with a proven track record in designing and implementing robust automation frameworks. This role requires a deep understanding of web accessibility standards and a passion for ensuring inclusive digital experiences.

Key Skills Required:

  • Automation Testing: Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, TestNG/JUnit, and framework design (POM, Hybrid, BDD with Cucumber).
  • API Testing: Proficient in testing REST APIs, working with JSON/XML, and using tools like Postman, Swagger, RestAssured, or Karate. Experience writing API test scripts and assertions is essential.
  • Programming: Strong proficiency in Java (preferred) or Python.
  • CI/CD & Tools: Experience with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git, Maven/Gradle.
  • Core Concepts: Strong understanding of SDLC/STLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Accessibility & Frontend Skills (Must-Have):
    • Accessibility Standards: ADA (WCAG 2.1/2.2), Section 508, CVAA, EAA.
    • Platforms: Windows, iOS, Android.
    • Frontend Technologies: HTML, XML, JavaScript, CSS, jQuery, SQL.
    • Accessibility Tools: AXE, ANDI.
    • Screen Readers: JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver (iOS), TalkBack (Android).
    • Design / UI Tools: Adobe Photoshop, Figma, Adobe Dreamweaver, PDF Remediation (Acrobat Pro).
  • Defect Management Tools: JIRA, Rally, ALM.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to architecture and coding standards.
  • Perform code reviews and mentor junior team members.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to define testing strategies.
  • Work on web accessibility compliance and usability testing, ensuring products meet all relevant standards.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts for web applications, APIs, and accessibility features.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and feedback.
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and report them clearly and concisely.
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and tools.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in QA automation and web accessibility.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $60 – $80 per hour (Estimated)

Location: Raleigh, NC
