Role Overview
Valzo Soft Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP S/4HANA Finance Consultant specializing in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) for a critical onsite contract engagement in Boston, MA. This role is designed for a professional who possesses a deep understanding of the end-to-end business processes within the Record to Report (R2R) cycle and can demonstrate a proven track record of successful SAP implementations and optimizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive solutions leveraging standard SAP S/4HANA Finance functionality to maximize ROI for the client.
- Translate complex business needs into robust solution architecture requirements, balancing long-term strategic goals with short-term operational needs.
- Support global SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO) operations, fostering strong relationships with both IT staff and business stakeholders.
- Perform detailed root cause analysis on persistent software application issues and implement permanent fixes.
- Dive deep into existing ABAP code and system configurations to identify enhancement opportunities and resolve technical bottlenecks.
- Provide technical direction for complex SAP S/4HANA Finance system issues, ensuring high system availability and performance.
- Deliver critical end-user support during high-pressure periods, specifically during Month-end and Quarter-end closing cycles.
- Prepare functional design documents and detailed technical specifications for ABAP programming, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
- Coordinate workload planning between onsite and offshore teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
Technical Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience specifically with SAP S/4HANA FI/CO modules.
- Between 8 to 15 years of functional configuration experience across SAP FI/CO modules including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Cost and Profit Center Accounting, Fixed Assets, Internal Orders, and Consolidations.
- Expertise in Banking, Accounts Receivable (AR), Product Costing, Taxes, and US GAAP compliance.
- Strong integration knowledge of FI-MM and FI-SD, as well as Special Purpose Ledgers and Account-based COPA.
- Proficiency in SAP Business Partners and the ability to debug ABAP code to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Experience with third-party system integrations such as OpenText VIM, external tax engines, and Blackline.
- Working knowledge of Standard FIORI apps and Intercompany Matching and Reconciliation (ICMR).
Professional Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold an S/4HANA Certification in a Finance-related course. You must possess the ability to quickly identify problems and recommend innovative solutions in a fast-paced corporate environment. Excellent communication skills are required to bridge the gap between technical teams and business executives. This position requires a consultant who is comfortable working onsite in Boston and can manage the complexities of a large-scale enterprise environment.
Special Requirements
Onsite requirement in Boston, MA. Must be able to debug ABAP code. Experience with VIM (OpenText) and Blackline is required.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $185,000 – $245,000 per year (Estimated)
