Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer specializing in Zuora Billing and Subscription Management to join our dynamic engineering team. Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement end-to-end subscription billing solutions using the Zuora Central platform, focusing on high-volume transaction processing.
- Develop and maintain custom integrations between Zuora and enterprise systems such as Salesforce CRM, NetSuite ERP, and various global payment gateways.
- Manage the full subscription lifecycle, including complex order actions, multi-year amendments, automated renewals, and churn-mitigation cancellations.
- Design and maintain robust RESTful APIs and event-driven microservices using Node.js or Java to support real-time billing operations and data synchronization.
- Collaborate closely with Finance and Accounting teams to ensure revenue recognition and taxation compliance within the Zuora Revenue (RevPro) module.
- Optimize usage-based billing models and dynamic pricing strategies to support business scalability and market agility in the 2026 economy.
- Utilize Zuora Workflow to automate complex business logic, reducing manual intervention in the billing and collections process.
- Conduct rigorous code reviews and mentor junior developers on Zuora best practices and secure coding standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues related to invoicing, payment processing, and cross-system data integrity.
- Stay ahead of the curve by evaluating new Zuora features and AI-driven billing enhancements to improve operational efficiency.
Technical Requirements and Experience
The ideal candidate will possess over 8 years of professional software development experience, with at least 4 years of deep, hands-on expertise within the Zuora ecosystem. Proficiency in backend languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js is essential, along with a mastery of SQL and complex data modeling. You should have a proven track record of integrating Zuora with major CRM and ERP platforms. Experience with Zuora CPQ and Zuora Revenue is highly preferred.
