Role Overview
The Senior End User Computing (EUC) Engineer is a critical role responsible for the architecture, implementation, and management of modern workplace technologies. This position focuses heavily on Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and the Microsoft 365 ecosystem to provide a seamless, secure, and high-performance computing experience for a global workforce. The successful candidate will lead the design and optimization of virtual desktop environments while ensuring that physical endpoints are managed with the highest standards of security and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for Windows 10 and Windows 11 platforms, ensuring stability and performance across physical and virtual endpoints.
- Architect and manage Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments, including host pools, multi-session configurations, and image pipelines using Shared Image Gallery (SIG).
- Implement and maintain FSLogix profile containers to ensure efficient user profile management and fast sign-in times.
- Design and deploy modern endpoint management policies using Microsoft Intune and SCCM, focusing on configuration profiles, compliance policies, and software distribution.
- Manage identity and access through Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), including RBAC, Conditional Access, and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
- Automate routine tasks, health checks, and diagnostic procedures using PowerShell, ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
- Monitor and optimize endpoint security using Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (AV/EDR), Attack Surface Reduction (ASR) rules, and BitLocker encryption.
- Oversee patch management and update rings to ensure all systems are current while minimizing disruption to business operations.
- Diagnose and resolve complex networking issues related to DNS, DHCP, VPN, and proxy configurations affecting endpoint connectivity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate line-of-business applications and optimize M365 apps like Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive.
Technical Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in End User Computing or Systems Administration with a focus on Microsoft technologies.
- Expert-level knowledge of Windows 10/11 Enterprise architecture and performance tuning.
- Proven experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) scaling plans, autoscale, and Azure Stack HCI scenarios.
- Strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and infrastructure-as-code (IaC).
- Deep understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPO), and modern policy management.
- Experience with certificate management (TLS) and secure end-to-end connectivity.
- Ability to drive KPI-driven operations, focusing on incident rates, backlog reduction, and application impact.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)
