Role Overview: Master Data Management (MDM) Architect
As we progress into 2026, the role of the Master Data Management (MDM) Architect has become the cornerstone of enterprise data strategy. In the highly competitive landscape of Raritan, New Jersey, this position is designed for a visionary leader who can bridge the gap between complex technical architectures and strategic business objectives. The MDM Architect will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of master data, ensuring that the organization maintains a single, authoritative source of truth for its most critical data domains, including Customer, Product, and Healthcare Provider data. This role requires a deep understanding of how data flows through modern cloud ecosystems and how it can be leveraged to drive advanced analytics and artificial intelligence initiatives.
Core Responsibilities and Strategic Impact
- Architect and design scalable, high-performance MDM solutions using industry-leading platforms such as Informatica MDM and Reltio, ensuring alignment with the 2026 enterprise technology roadmap.
- Develop and maintain sophisticated data models that support multi-domain MDM requirements, incorporating complex hierarchies and relationships.
- Define and implement advanced match and merge strategies, survivorship logic, and data quality rules to ensure the highest level of data integrity.
- Lead the integration of MDM platforms with cloud-native data warehouses like Snowflake and Databricks, utilizing real-time streaming and API-led connectivity.
- Establish and enforce data governance frameworks, working closely with data stewards to define policies for data access, security, and privacy in compliance with global regulations.
- Optimize database performance and PL/SQL procedures to handle the massive data volumes typical of a global enterprise.
- Provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams, guiding developers and engineers through complex implementation phases.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in AI-driven data management and evaluate how these technologies can be integrated into the existing MDM ecosystem.
Technical Requirements and Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in data engineering and architecture, with at least 6 years dedicated to Master Data Management.
- Expert-level proficiency in Informatica MDM (Multidomain) and the Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC) suite.
- Advanced knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and database optimization techniques within Oracle or SQL Server environments.
- Proven experience with ETL/ELT tools and modern integration patterns, including Kafka and RESTful APIs.
- Strong understanding of data governance, data lineage, and metadata management tools.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $175,000 – $225,000 per year (Estimated)
