Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle DBA with specialized expertise in Golden Gate and Exadata to join our enterprise shared services organization. This is a critical role supporting high-availability database platforms that power our core business operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for a diverse range of tasks, including hands-on technical implementation, performance optimization, and strategic cloud migrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain enterprise-level Oracle database platforms within a shared services environment.
- Dedicate approximately 40% of time to hands-on work with Oracle Exadata and GoldenGate replication, including complex setup, configuration, and fine-tuning.
- Focus 40% of efforts on Oracle internals, deep-dive performance optimization, and troubleshooting complex database issues.
- Allocate 20% of time to supporting critical Oracle database upgrades and executing migrations to AWS cloud environments.
- Collaborate closely with senior database architects and other DBAs to ensure system stability and scalability.
- Implement and manage Golden Gate replication across diverse source systems including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
- Optimize storage using Exadata Hybrid Columnar Compression (HCC) and manage ZFS infrastructure.
Technical Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience administering Oracle databases in large-scale enterprise environments.
- 8+ years of experience with advanced scripting (Shell, Python, or Perl) for database automation and operational support.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience supporting Oracle Exadata and ZFS storage infrastructure.
- 8+ years of experience managing Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) environments.
- 5+ years of specialized experience installing, troubleshooting, and tuning Oracle Golden Gate across Oracle Database, S3, and Aurora.
- 5+ years of experience with Exadata Hybrid Columnar Compression (HCC) and advanced partitioning strategies.
- Proven experience with AWS technologies, specifically RDS and Aurora.
- Familiarity with Oracle Database Appliance (ODA) and cross-platform replication.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $195,000 per year (Estimated)
