Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented GIS Data Engineer to join our technical team in Juno Beach, Florida. This role is pivotal in managing complex spatial datasets and integrating advanced technologies like Artificial Intelligence and Computer Vision into our geographic information systems. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the ESRI ArcGIS suite and have a proven track record of automating data workflows to support large-scale infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, maintain, and update comprehensive GIS datasets to ensure high data integrity and availability for cross-functional teams.
- Perform advanced spatial analysis to identify critical patterns, trends, and anomalies within geographic data.
- Conduct rigorous data conversion, integration, and quality assurance checks across multiple platforms.
- Manage and optimize enterprise geodatabases using Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL to support high-concurrency environments.
- Develop and deploy automation scripts using Python and ArcPy to streamline QA/QC and ETL processes.
- Create visually compelling maps, interactive dashboards, and detailed reports using ArcGIS Pro and Enterprise tools.
- Collaborate with data scientists to implement AI and Computer Vision models for automated feature extraction and imagery analysis.
Technical Requirements
- Expertise in ESRI ArcGIS Suite (Desktop, Pro, Enterprise) and ArcFM.
- Proficiency in programming languages including Python, SQL, JavaScript, and .NET.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as FME and automation platforms like Power Automate.
- Strong database management skills in Oracle, MS SQL, and PostgreSQL.
- Demonstrated experience in applying AI and Computer Vision techniques to spatial data problems.
Professional Qualifications
The successful candidate must demonstrate an analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex spatial problems independently. Excellent communication skills are required to translate technical GIS findings into actionable business insights. This position requires a collaborative spirit, as you will work closely with engineering, environmental, and IT departments to deliver integrated spatial solutions. Experience in the energy or utility sector is highly preferred given the location and nature of the projects in Juno Beach.
Special Requirements
AI and Computer vision experience required. C2C contract engagement.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $45 – $45 per year
