Role Overview: AWS Glue & Lambda Developer
Brillius Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated AWS Glue and Lambda Developer for a critical 6-month contract engagement in Columbus, Ohio. This position is strictly 100% onsite from day one, requiring a professional who is ready to integrate directly with our client’s engineering team to drive cloud-native data solutions. As we move into 2026, the demand for robust, serverless data architectures has never been higher, and this role sits at the intersection of data engineering and cloud-native application development.
Key Responsibilities and Technical Scope
- Design, develop, and deploy complex ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines using AWS Glue to handle large-scale data processing tasks.
- Architect and implement serverless backend logic using AWS Lambda, ensuring high performance, scalability, and cost-optimization.
- Integrate cloud services with mobile and digital platforms, leveraging AWS Mobile Hub and related AWS Mobile Services to enhance user experience and data synchronization.
- Conduct comprehensive functional testing to validate the integrity of cloud deployments and ensure that all serverless functions meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to migrate legacy data workflows into modern AWS environments, focusing on automation and reliability.
- Optimize existing Glue jobs and Lambda functions to reduce latency and operational overhead in a production environment.
- Maintain rigorous documentation of cloud architecture, data schemas, and deployment scripts to support long-term maintainability.
Technical Requirements and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) ecosystem, specifically focusing on data integration and serverless computing. You should have a proven track record of managing AWS Glue crawlers, jobs, and data catalogs, as well as writing efficient Python or Scala code for Lambda functions. Experience with AWS Mobile Hub is highly desirable, as the project involves digital transformation initiatives that bridge cloud backends with mobile frontends. Furthermore, a strong background in functional testing is required to ensure that every component of the digital hub operates seamlessly under various load conditions. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, onsite environment in Columbus, OH, and must demonstrate excellent communication skills to facilitate daily stand-ups and technical reviews.

Salary: $60 – $65 per year
