Position Summary: Senior .NET Developer (Texas Remote)
We are looking for a seasoned Senior .NET Developer with over 14 years of experience to join a high-impact project for the State of Texas. This role is fully remote but requires the candidate to be a current resident of Texas. The project involves modernizing a complex reporting framework and financial system using the latest Microsoft stack, specifically .NET 8.0 and 9.0. You will be instrumental in transitioning legacy systems, including those built with Crystal Reports and Oracle, into modern, scalable Blazor-based applications. This is a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge orchestration tools like HashiCorp Nomad and Consul within a Windows infrastructure environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Modern Framework Development: Design and develop a new reporting framework using .NET 9.0 and Blazor (WASM and Server). You will leverage Entity Framework Core for seamless database integration and Fluent UI for modern, responsive user interfaces.
- Legacy Modernization: Analyze and enhance existing complex reports currently built with Crystal Reports. You will lead the effort to migrate these to modern reporting solutions while ensuring data integrity and performance.
- Service Orchestration: Deploy and manage HashiCorp Nomad and Consul on Windows infrastructure. This includes configuring secure service orchestration, mTLS, and ACL management to ensure a secure and resilient microservices environment.
- Agile & DevOps: Participate in the full SDLC within a SCRUM/Agile environment. You will collaborate with DevOps teams to maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket and other automation tools.
- Database Optimization: Utilize advanced knowledge of Oracle database management, including PL/SQL development and stored procedure optimization, to ensure high-performance financial system solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Candidates must have a minimum of 14 years of professional software development experience. Expertise in .NET 8.0/9.0, C#, and Blazor is non-negotiable. Specific experience with HashiCorp Nomad and Consul for Windows service compatibility (using tools like NSSM) is a primary requirement for this role. You must have a strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and modern design principles. As this is a state-level project, an active Texas Driver’s License and a verified LinkedIn ID are required for submission. We are looking for a problem-solver who can tackle technical and architectural challenges in legacy-to-modern system transformations while communicating effectively across cross-functional teams.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $155,000 – $195,000 per year (Estimated)
