Position Summary
We are looking for a Senior Product Design Engineer to join our team in Columbus, Indiana, for a high-priority project with Cummins. This onsite role requires a seasoned professional with over 7 years of experience in the Automotive Embedded Telematics domain. The ideal candidate will be at the forefront of the Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) revolution, contributing to the development of next-generation electronic control architectures for heavy-duty and commercial vehicle applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Requirement Engineering efforts and create comprehensive technical profiles for embedded systems.
- Develop and refine Software Architecture for automotive telematics, ensuring scalability and security.
- Execute rigorous Verification & Validation (V&V) protocols to meet industry safety and performance standards.
- Design and implement network and boundary diagrams using tools like Visio Professional.
- Apply Six Sigma methodologies, including iDFMEA, FTA, and Fishbone analysis, to ensure product reliability.
- Collaborate in an Agile environment using JIRA for task management and Postman for API debugging.
- Oversee the integration of cloud interfaces, specifically focusing on AWS IoT Services and Azure awareness.
- Ensure compliance with global legislations, including EU7 OBM (On-Board Monitoring) standards.
Technical Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Automotive Embedded Systems and Telematics.
- Expert-level proficiency in Embedded C programming.
- Deep understanding of communication protocols such as J1939 and UDS.
- Hands-on experience with the System V-Model development lifecycle.
- Knowledge of electronic control architecture including microprocessors, software, and service tools.
- Specific expertise in Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) frameworks.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $135,000 – $175,000 per year (Estimated)
