Role Overview: SAP SD Lead (Sales and Distribution)
Engineers Mind is seeking a seasoned SAP SD Lead for a high-impact onsite role in Austin, TX. This position requires a technical leader with over a decade of experience in SAP ERP environments, specifically within the Sales and Distribution (SD) module. The ideal candidate will serve as a bridge between business requirements and technical execution, guiding cross-functional teams through complex digital transformation projects. As a Lead, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of SAP implementations, from initial brainstorming and requirement gathering to functional specification design, testing, and final deployment. This role is perfect for a professional who combines deep technical knowledge of SAP with the interpersonal skills necessary to manage stakeholders and lead technical teams toward successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities and Technical Leadership
- Lead the design and implementation of SAP SD solutions, ensuring seamless integration with Materials Management (MM) and Finance (FI) modules.
- Develop comprehensive Functional Specification documents based on complex business flows, specifically tailored for API testing and system connectivity.
- Facilitate brainstorming sessions with business stakeholders and project teams to define logic and arrive at appropriate technical solutions.
- Oversee the testing process between Automation API teams and SAP ABAP (API) teams to ensure data integrity and system performance.
- Analyze existing business flows and SAP validations to discern project-specific requirements and identify potential areas for optimization.
- Provide technical guidance to ABAP developers, articulating complex technical issues and reviewing code to ensure alignment with functional requirements.
- Manage connectivity and data exchange between SAP and non-SAP systems, ensuring a unified architecture across the enterprise.
- Attend and contribute to weekly delivery and core team meetings, providing transparent progress reports and managing project timelines.
Required Qualifications and Essential Skills
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in SAP SD, with a proven track record of leading large-scale implementations.
- Deep understanding of SAP SD sub-modules, including pricing, billing, shipping, and credit management.
- Strong technical background with the ability to understand ABAP code and debug system issues.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA is highly desirable, particularly within an Apple/Mac OS environment.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in creating detailed functional documentation and test cases for API-driven integrations.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $140,000 – $190,000 per year (Estimated)
