Role Overview
Adventa Tech is seeking a highly skilled and Appian Level 2 Certified Developer for a critical 6-month contract engagement in Austin, Texas. This role is designed for a technical expert who thrives in a low-code environment and possesses a deep understanding of business process management (BPM) principles. As an Appian Developer in 2026, you will be at the forefront of digital transformation, building robust applications that streamline complex workflows and enhance user experiences for high-profile clients. The position offers a unique opportunity to work on the Government Acquisition Management Suite (GAMS), making it an ideal fit for developers with public sector interest.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade applications using the Appian low-code platform version 23.x and above.
- Create sophisticated user interfaces using SAIL (Self-Assembling Interface Layer) to ensure a responsive, accessible, and intuitive user experience across all devices.
- Architect and implement complex Process Models to automate business logic, task assignments, and system workflows.
- Develop and maintain seamless integrations with external systems, legacy databases, and third-party services via REST/SOAP APIs and RDBMS connectors.
- Optimize application performance, conduct load testing, and troubleshoot technical bottlenecks within the Appian environment.
- Collaborate closely with business analysts, product owners, and QA teams to translate high-level requirements into functional technical solutions.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, ensuring timely delivery of features.
- Ensure code quality through rigorous unit testing, integration testing, and comprehensive peer reviews.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior developers and contribute to the internal Appian center of excellence.
Technical Requirements and Qualifications
- Proven experience in Appian development, with a focus on complex enterprise applications.
- Mandatory Appian Level 2 Senior Developer Certification; candidates must provide a copy of the certificate upon submission.
- Strong proficiency in SAIL, Process Modeling, Expression Rules, and Data Stores.
- Experience with Java, SQL, and modern web services (JSON/XML).
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines tailored for low-code environments.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex data structures.
- Strong communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Work Environment and Benefits
This position is remote; however, due to specific project constraints and state-level compliance, candidates must be current residents of Texas. The initial contract is for 6 months, with a high probability of extension based on performance and the project roadmap. About the Project

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)
