Position Summary
Byteware Inc. is looking for a Senior Appian Certified Developer to join our client’s long-term project in Austin, TX. This role requires a seasoned professional with a Level 2 Appian Certification and a deep understanding of low-code platform development. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance Appian applications that drive business efficiency and digital transformation for our government and enterprise clients.
Core Responsibilities
- Design and build sophisticated Appian applications utilizing SAIL (Self-Assembling Interface Layer) and complex Process Models.
- Develop and manage integrations with various external systems and third-party services via REST/SOAP APIs.
- Optimize User Interface (UI) performance and responsiveness to ensure a seamless user experience across devices.
- Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to maintain high code quality and system reliability.
- Collaborate closely with business analysts, stakeholders, and QA teams to validate requirements and ensure successful solution delivery.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure timely project milestones.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers within the Appian practice.
Technical Skills and Qualifications
- Appian Level 2 Senior Developer Certification is strictly required.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Agile methodology and software development lifecycles.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience specifically with the Appian platform or similar low-code environments.
- Strong proficiency in designing SAIL interfaces, process models, and data types (CDTs).
- Experience with GAMS (Government Acquisition Management Suite) is highly preferred.
- Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL for data persistence and reporting.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Equivalent work experience may be substituted for a degree, provided a high school diploma is held and professional experience is extensive.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $155,000 – $205,000 per year (Estimated)
