Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Quality Assurance Specialist to join our dynamic team in Columbus, Ohio. This role is critical for ensuring the quality and reliability of our Integrated Eligibility systems, specifically focusing on Medicaid, SNAP/TANF, and Child Care domains. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of manual and automated testing expertise to drive excellence in our software delivery lifecycle. As a key member of the QA team, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of complex rules engines and ensuring that all system updates meet the highest standards of accuracy and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for all QA aspects of software releases, ensuring seamless coordination of resources and timelines.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans that align with project schedules and quality benchmarks.
- Perform rigorous testing on eligibility rules to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations for Medicaid and SNAP.
- Conduct detailed reports and integration testing to verify data integrity across multiple interconnected systems.
- Utilize advanced test management tools to track progress, manage defects, and report on quality metrics to leadership.
- Design and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and Cucumber to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
- Collaborate closely with System Integrators to communicate testing outcomes and implications for the overall project health.
- Adhere to established SDLC and defect lifecycle processes to maintain high standards of software quality.
- Proactively follow up on identified defects, ensuring they are tracked through to successful closure and verification.
- Provide timely and professional responses to all stakeholder requests, maintaining a high level of service and transparency.
Technical Qualifications
- Proven experience in manual scripting and test execution within complex enterprise environments.
- Strong proficiency in automation tools, specifically Selenium and Cucumber, for regression and functional testing.
- In-depth knowledge of Integrated Eligibility domains such as Medicaid, SNAP/TANF, or Child Care is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with various test management tools and defect tracking systems like Jira or ALM.
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and modern QA methodologies.
- Experience testing eligibility rules and complex logic engines is a significant advantage.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective stakeholder engagement and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail in identifying edge cases.
- Commitment to meeting daily goals and project deadlines as established by the QA Lead.
- Local residency in Columbus, OH is required as face-to-face interviews and on-site collaboration are expected.

This includes identifying opportunities for further automation, refining test cases based on production feedback, and staying updated on the latest industry trends in quality assurance and integrated eligibility systems. Locals preferred, Face-to-Face (f2f) interview required, Domain restriction: Integrated Eligibility (Medicaid, Snap/TANF or Child Care).
Compensation & Location
Salary: $92,000 – $138,000 per year (Estimated)
