Position Summary
Pacer Group is seeking a dedicated Citrix Engineer for a critical 6-month contract onsite in Columbus, OH. This role is designed for a technical expert who can manage, maintain, and optimize a complex Citrix environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the stability and performance of Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop 7.x infrastructures, utilizing both Provisioning Services (PVS) and Machine Creation Services (MCS). This is a high-impact role requiring a proactive approach to infrastructure management and a commitment to excellence in a 24×7 operational environment.
Primary Technical Responsibilities
- Manage and support Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop 7.x environments using PVS and MCS.
- Administer Citrix NetScaler, StoreFront, Director, and License Servers to ensure seamless user access.
- Configure and maintain F5 Load Balancers and FSLogix for profile management.
- Oversee Citrix Database operations on SQL Server.
- Perform Windows OS administration, including regular patching and security updates.
- Manage core network services including DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, GPO, and LDAP.
- Monitor system health using tools such as Citrix Director and Tanium.
- Execute Citrix failover procedures and maintain VMware/Nutanix infrastructure integration.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell to improve operational efficiency.

- Demonstrate excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve complex infrastructure issues.
- Maintain clear documentation of system configurations and change logs.
- Provide high-level technical support and guidance to junior staff and end-users.
Work Environment and Requirements
This position is strictly onsite in Columbus, Ohio. Candidates must be prepared to work in a 24×7 environment, which may include on-call rotations and off-hours support for critical system maintenance. The role demands a high degree of independence and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. We are looking for a professional who not only possesses the technical acumen to manage Citrix environments but also the communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $110,000 – $155,000 per year (Estimated)
