Role Overview
Prophecy Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our dynamic team in Austin, Texas. This role is critical in bridging the gap between complex business requirements and technical IT solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of business analysis methodologies and a proven track record of delivering high-quality documentation in fast-paced environments. As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for eliciting, analyzing, and documenting requirements that drive the development of innovative technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead requirements elicitation sessions with stakeholders to identify business needs and translate them into functional specifications.
- Develop comprehensive documentation, including business requirement documents (BRD), functional requirement documents (FRD), and use cases.
- Apply Project Management Framework (PMF) principles to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Analyze large-scale IT operations and stay abreast of information technology industry trends to provide strategic recommendations.
- Negotiate among multiple parties to resolve conflicts and maintain effective working relationships across various levels of personnel.
- Ensure the accuracy of system functionality documentation and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure that developed solutions align with the documented business requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst within the IT sector.
- At least 5 years of experience working with government regulations or compliance frameworks, ensuring all deliverables meet legal standards.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, demonstrating the ability to lead initiatives from conception to completion.
- Exceptional skill in defining all types of requirements, including functional, non-functional, and technical specifications.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate consensus.
- Proven ability to create clear, complete, and actionable requirements documentation that serves as a blueprint for development teams.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience with data modeling and process mapping tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $110,000 – $155,000 per year (Estimated)
