Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Android Mobile Developer with over a decade of hands-on experience to lead the development of high-performance, scalable mobile applications. This onsite role in Columbus, OH, offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge mobile solutions within a collaborative and innovative environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Android ecosystem, from low-level system design to high-level UI animations, and a passion for creating secure, user-centric applications. This is a 6+ month contract-to-hire (C2H) position, providing a clear path to long-term career growth within a leading organization.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and troubleshooting of complex Android applications, thinking beyond conventional approaches to solve intricate technical challenges.
- Create secure, high-quality production code that integrates seamlessly with backend systems and Rest APIs in a synchronous manner.
- Develop localized, multi-tenant solutions that cater to a diverse global user base while maintaining high performance.
- Implement sophisticated UI fundamentals, including custom layouts, complex animations, and responsive design principles to enhance the user experience.
- Drive the adoption of automated testing practices, utilizing Mockito and Espresso to ensure application reliability and operational stability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features in an agile development environment.
- Maintain and improve existing codebases, ensuring they adhere to modern architectural patterns and industry best practices.
- Execute software solutions with a focus on operational stability and long-term maintainability.
Technical Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in mobile application development specifically for the Android platform.
- Expert proficiency in Android development tools, including Android Studio, Java, and Kotlin.
- Extensive experience with modern Android libraries and frameworks such as Jetpack Compose and Live Data.
- Strong understanding of data structures, multi-threading, and memory management in a mobile context.
- Proficiency in web technologies including JavaScript, React, HTML5, and CSS3 to support hybrid or cross-platform requirements.
- Proven track record of delivering applications with high operational stability and performance in a production environment.
- Experience in system design and the ability to architect scalable mobile solutions from the ground up.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes for mobile applications.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $195,000 per year (Estimated)
