Opportunity Overview

We are looking for elite SAP Architects for three distinct roles—Data, Application, and Integration—to support enterprise-scale initiatives in Austin, TX. These positions require a minimum of 15 years of professional experience and demand a high level of technical proficiency and leadership. These are contract roles requiring day-one onsite presence in Austin.

Role 1: SAP Data Architect

  • Define the SAP data foundation, determining how systems store, share, and manage trusted enterprise data.
  • Produce reference data architectures by collaborating with application, analytics, and security teams.
  • Enable AI and advanced analytics use cases by ensuring data consistency and discoverability.
  • Utilize SAP Business Data Cloud, Datasphere, and MDG to unify data and eliminate redundancy.
  • Maintain common data model catalogs and evolve data governance and lineage standards.
  • Protect core transactional systems by optimizing replication and extraction loads.

Role 2: SAP Application Architect

  • Define end-to-end application architecture for SAP solutions aligned with business strategy.
  • Drive ‘Clean Core’ principles, distinguishing between standard SAP, in-app extensibility, and side-by-side extensions.
  • Review and approve designs to minimize technical debt and long-term maintenance risks.
  • Establish application-level standards for monitoring, logging, and observability.
  • Evaluate the total cost of ownership (TCO) for application builds, upgrades, and support.
  • Expertise in SAP BTP and SAP S/4HANA functional architecture is mandatory.

Role 3: SAP Integration Architect

  • Connect the enterprise by defining reference integration patterns across SAP and non-SAP systems.
  • Modernize connectivity using SAP BTP, API Management, and Integration Suite.
  • Champion event-driven architectures and reduce custom interfaces to eliminate technical debt.
  • Define integration KPIs and metrics to improve operational visibility and reliability.
  • Guide teams in selecting optimal integration approaches (API, event, batch, IDoc).
  • Ensure secure, scalable, and resilient integration architectures across hybrid landscapes.

General Requirements & Soft Skills

  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in SAP architecture and implementation.
  • Strong decision-making skills with the ability to balance speed, quality, and long-term costs.
  • Clear communication skills to explain complex architecture choices and trade-offs to stakeholders.
  • Pragmatic mindset focused on value, reuse, and simplification.
  • Ability to act as a trusted advisor to IS&T teams and challenge designs constructively in ARB reviews.

Special Requirements

15+ years profiles only; Day one Onsite in Austin, TX; Contract role.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $185,000 – $265,000 per year (Estimated)
