Role Overview
The Aetna IT Delivery organization, a vital component of CVS Health’s Data, Digital, Analytics, Technology (DDAT) division, is looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer (QA Tester / Analyst Spec II). This role is pivotal in ensuring the reliability and performance of virtual assistants and digital agents that provide health insurance support to millions of members and providers. As we move into 2026, the integration of AI and conversational interfaces is paramount, and this position sits at the intersection of healthcare technology and advanced automation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust automation frameworks using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, and Appium to support multi-channel solutions including voice and chat.
- Develop automated test scripts following Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Test Driven Development (TDD) methodologies to ensure high code quality and coverage.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies for conversational AI, focusing on accuracy, intent recognition, and user experience.
- Integrate automated testing into modern CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps to facilitate rapid and reliable software delivery.
- Manage the full defect lifecycle using JIRA, working closely with developers to reproduce, debug, and validate fixes for complex software issues.
- Utilize specialized tools such as Hammer On Demand and Cyara for comprehensive testing of voice-based virtual assistants.
- Stay at the forefront of QA innovation by exploring and integrating GenAI and AI-driven tools into the testing process to improve efficiency and coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in QA automation and software testing within an Agile environment.
- Strong proficiency in Java (OOPs, Data Structures) with the flexibility to work in JavaScript or Python as needed.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools like Selenium, Hammer On Demand, and Cyara.
- Proven track record of implementing scalable automation frameworks from the ground up.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with API testing (REST/SOAP) and database validation.
Preferred Skills
- Deep understanding of the Healthcare domain, including HIPAA compliance and clinical workflows.
- Familiarity with AI model evaluation metrics such as F1-score, precision, and recall.
- Experience using AI-powered development environments like Windsurf or Cursor for script optimization.
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure platforms such as AWS, GCP, or IBM Cloud.
Special Requirements
Local candidates only; 6-month contract duration; Healthcare domain knowledge (HIPAA) preferred; Experience with Conversational AI/Virtual Assistants required.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $110,000 – $150,000 per year (Estimated)
