Opportunity for a Senior ServiceNow ITOM Specialist
EverSoft Technologies LLC is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated ServiceNow ITOM Specialist to join our team for a remote contract role. This is a critical position for an individual with a profound understanding and extensive hands-on experience in implementing and optimizing ServiceNow’s IT Operations Management (ITOM) suite. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional capable of leading complex implementations, driving CMDB excellence, and integrating ServiceNow with various third-party systems. This role requires a commitment to PST work hours and a proven track record of delivering high-impact solutions.
Core Responsibilities and Project Contributions
- Demonstrate extensive hands-on experience with multiple full lifecycle implementations of the core ITOM applications, including Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and SAM/HAM.
- Lead at least three full lifecycle ServiceNow implementations, showcasing strong project leadership and technical expertise.
- Possess an excellent understanding of CMDB data models and relationships, with practical experience in configuring CMDB for advanced technologies such as Containerization and Cloud services (AWS, MS Azure, etc.).
- Exhibit in-depth understanding and proven experience with implementing the Common Services Data Model (CSDM) up to the Fly maturity level.
- Ability to meticulously analyze existing business services and their relationships with other Configuration Items (CIs), effectively mapping them to ensure the success of ITSM processes like Incident, Change, DevOps, and Vulnerability Response.
- Configure Discovery probes, sensors, and/or patterns to ensure high data accuracy and integrity of the CMDB, with specific experience in transitioning to discovery patterns.
- Apply core Platform and ServiceNow Scripting knowledge, with hands-on experience being a mandatory requirement. Experience with ATF, Service Portal, Platform Analytics, and UI Builder is a valuable asset.
- Demonstrate experience in enhancing Discovery performance and coverage, and building effective dashboards for senior managers, service owners, and executives to display accurate and up-to-date results of CMDB health.
- Showcase hands-on experience with designing and implementing multiple integrations to third-party systems, ensuring seamless data flow and process automation.
- Leverage both proven and innovative technology approaches to solve challenging business problems and drive continuous improvement.
- Provide comprehensive technical assessments, detailed written documentation, and expert technical guidance.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by sharing experiences and knowledge with the team.
- Advise on various options, potential risks, and impacts on business processes and technical architecture.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Certifications
- Minimum of 5+ years as a key resource for large-scale ITOM solutions, with at least 3 years specifically as a ServiceNow Architect/Lead or ServiceNow Solution Consultant.
- Over 3 years of dedicated experience with ServiceNow, maintaining a strong focus on Discovery, Service Mapping, and Event Management.
- Validated successful oversight of several ServiceNow ITOM implementations, demonstrating leadership and technical acumen.
- Expert knowledge of third-party integrations with ServiceNow, including Discovery probes, sensors, and patterns, as well as Service Mapping configurations and Event Management rules for correlation of events and alerts from monitoring tools.
- Ability to provide strong technical leadership and professional guidance to managers, team members, and vendors.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator Certification is required.
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist Certification in Service Mapping and Event Management is required (SAM and Cloud Management certifications are a significant plus).
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
