Job Description: SAP WM Functional Consultant

We are seeking an experienced SAP WM Functional Consultant to join our client’s team for an onsite contract role in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Warehouse Management (WM) and Inventory Management (IM) modules, with a focus on configuring and optimizing warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Warehouse Strategy: Configure placement and removal strategies, physical inventory processes, and warehouse organizational structures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Shipping & Logistics: Provide hands-on configuration for shipping points, route determination, and delivery processing to streamline outbound logistics.
• Master Data Management: Manage and configure Batch Management, Serial Number tracking, and Handling Unit Management (HUM) to ensure data integrity and traceability.
• Functional Specifications: Write detailed functional specifications for RICEWF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflow) and collaborate effectively with ABAP developers for implementation.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with MM (Materials Management) and SD (Sales and Distribution) teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment of warehouse processes with broader supply chain operations.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Provide expert support for SAP WM/IM related issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to minimize disruption.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the warehouse and logistics functions and recommend solutions leveraging SAP WM capabilities.

Mandatory Skills:

• 7+ Years of experience in SAP WM/IM.
• Industry Experience: Background in Hi-Tech or Manufacturing sectors is preferred for the Austin market.
• Functional Expertise: Strong cross-functional knowledge of MM and SD modules is essential.
• EDI/IDOC: Experience with IDOC mapping for logistics and 3PL integrations is required.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Requirements:

• 8+ years of overall SAP experience.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA WM is a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Austin, TX.

Salary: $60 – $80 per year (Estimated)
