Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Mongo DBA to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring and managing MongoDB replica sets and sharded clusters, implementing security enhancements, and automating operational tasks. This role requires a strong understanding of MongoDB architecture, performance tuning, and migration strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure MongoDB replica sets and sharded clusters as per application requirements.
- Set up and onboard replica sets and sharded clusters onto Ops Manager.
- Enhance MongoDB security using X509 and TLS authentication to comply with security standards.
- Automate backup, restore, and monitoring jobs using Python and scripting.
- Design, install, and configure multi-node MongoDB sharded clusters and replica sets on Linux platforms.
- Add/remove replica and shard nodes in MongoDB clusters as needed.
- Create text indexes for querying specific documents with string content.
- Ensure even distribution of data across multiple shards using shard keys.
- Perform upgrades and migrations of replica sets and sharded clusters.
- Deploy, migrate data, monitor, analyze, and tune MongoDB instances.
- Manage Ops Manager, including setup, upgrades, groups, and projects.
- Configure SSL key files to implement security across all mongod instances.
- Document MongoDB installation, operations, security, and auditing across multiple environments.
- Analyze query plan architecture and perform performance tuning at both host and DB levels.
- Manage range-based sharding, hash-based sharding, and indexing.
- Migrate MongoDB clusters to AWS.

Experience Required:
- 6-8 years of relevant experience.
- Must have designed, installed, and configured multi-node MongoDB sharded clusters and replica sets.
- In-depth knowledge of Ops Manager and its upgrade process.
- Extensive knowledge of Mongo replication architecture and change streams.
- Knowledge of query plan architecture and performance tuning.
