Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Security Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing secure cloud-native architectures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and frameworks. This is a hybrid role based in Austin, TX, requiring local candidates only.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business objectives, user requirements, and system challenges to propose effective solutions.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for system enhancements.
- Design and implement secure cloud-native architectures, with a preference for AWS.
- Lead threat modeling and risk assessment for enterprise systems.
- Secure APIs, microservices, and containerized environments.
- Integrate security into DevSecOps pipelines and CI/CD workflows.
- Configure and manage Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools.
- Implement Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Zero Trust frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with Texas Cybersecurity Framework (TCF) and NIST 800-53.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system specifications and architecture.
- Develop detailed documentation including system designs, workflows, and security policies.
- Present technical solutions and risk assessments to stakeholders and leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in information security and systems architecture.
- Proven experience designing secure cloud-native architectures (AWS preferred).
- Strong knowledge of Texas Cybersecurity Framework (TCF) and NIST 800-53.
- Expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Zero Trust Architecture.
- Hands-on experience in threat modeling for complex systems.
- Experience securing microservices, APIs, and containerized environments.
- Experience with Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools.
- Experience integrating security into DevSecOps pipelines.
- Ability to work independently with a high degree of creativity and technical judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience securing AI/LLM-based systems and data pipelines.
- Knowledge of data protection strategies (PII, PHI, sensitive data).
- Experience presenting to executive leadership.
- Ability to develop enterprise security policies and architecture standards.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, AWS Certified Security Engineer.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $150,000 – $200,000 per year (Estimated)
