Role: Database Administrator III (DBA 3)
We are seeking a highly experienced Database Administrator III (DBA 3) with over 10 years of dedicated experience to manage and support our enterprise-level database environments. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the optimal performance, unwavering availability, robust security, and overall reliability of our databases, spanning both on-premises infrastructure and cloud platforms. This critical role demands exceptional troubleshooting capabilities, a proven track record in automation, and deep expertise in designing and implementing high-availability database architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, upgrade, and meticulously maintain enterprise database systems.
- Effectively manage production, development, and test database environments to ensure seamless operations.
- Perform regular database patching, critical upgrades, and complex migrations with minimal disruption.
- Proactively monitor database health, performance metrics, and availability to preempt potential issues.
- Implement and enforce database standards and industry best practices across all environments.
- Design, implement, and maintain robust high-availability solutions to ensure business continuity.
- Configure and manage replication, clustering, and failover mechanisms for critical databases.
- Implement and enforce stringent database security policies to protect sensitive data.
- Manage user access, permissions, and roles to maintain data integrity and security.
- Monitor and audit database security events to detect and respond to potential threats.
Required Experience:
- Extensive experience with Oracle Database.
- Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience with MySQL.
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with MongoDB (Preferred).
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell and shell scripting.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL scripting.
Certifications (Preferred):
- Oracle Certified Professional
- Microsoft Azure Database Administrator
- AWS Database Specialty
- PostgreSQL Certification

This is a hybrid role requiring candidates to be local to Austin, TX. A phone number is mandatory for application processing.
