Job Description: Product Specialist 3 (.NET Developer with GenTAX Experience)
We are looking for a Product Specialist 3 with extensive experience in .NET development and the GenTax solution for an onsite position in Columbus, OH. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a critical enterprise tax system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement Tax Logic: Design, code, and test complex algorithms and formulas that automate tax calculations, deductions, and credits, ensuring they precisely match current tax regulations.
- Maintain Regulatory Compliance: Proactively monitor and quickly implement updates to the system’s code and databases in response to new tax laws, rate changes, and mandated electronic filing form revisions to ensure continuous compliance.
- Ensure Data Security: Build and maintain the application with rigorous security controls, encryption, and data validation to protect highly sensitive financial and tax information from unauthorized access or error.
- Collaborate with Tax Experts: Work closely with Tax Accountants and Finance professionals to gather detailed requirements, validate the accuracy of the software’s results, and translate complex tax legislation into clear technical specifications.
- Perform Impact Analysis: Analyze the functional and technical impact of product planning decisions and production fixes/enhancements to establish priorities.
- Develop Standards: Develop appropriate functional and usability standards for the product.
- Track Usage: Track and document the expected volume and type of product use.
- Participate in Design Reviews: Participate in product design reviews to verify that the design meets quality standards and functional/technical requirements.
- Provide Support: Provide basic product support and accurate, timely answers to detailed product questions. Provide effective on-site product support as needed. Accurately set the severity of identified defects.
- Documentation: Document all work for future reference and provide input to training and/or documentation materials regarding latest technical and functional design changes.
Required Skills:
- C#, Visual Studio, SQL Database
- Experience in GenTax solution (Mandatory)
- Experience in analyzing functional and technical impact of product planning decisions.
- Experience in developing functional and usability standards for products.
- Experience in tracking and documenting expected volume and type of product use.
- Experience in participating in product design reviews.
- Experience in performing impact analysis on production fixes and enhancements.
- Experience in providing basic product support and answering product questions.
- Experience in providing on-site product support.
- Experience in setting severity of identified defects.
- Experience in providing input to training and documentation materials.
- Experience in documenting all work for future reference.
Special Requirements
Onsite position. Must complete an FBI fingerprint background check prior to starting. Government equipment prohibited from being taken or used outside of the United States. TEAMS interview.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $90,000 – $130,000 per year (Estimated)
