Role: AI/ML Project Lead – Data Architecture
The State of Texas is seeking an experienced AI/ML Project Lead to manage data architecture and AI adoption initiatives in Austin, TX. This hybrid role requires a strong background in project management, data architecture, and a deep understanding of AI/ML concepts. The ideal candidate will have a PMP certification and experience in public sector environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, coordination, requirements gathering, business analysis, and specification development for moderate to complex business solutions.
- Oversee project monitoring, status reporting, and system implementation.
- Manage a data engineering project within an AI adoption program, focusing on data architecture.
- Facilitate cross-functional coordination between business, engineering, and AI stakeholders.
- Track deliverables and support platform and data engineering initiatives.
- Ensure alignment between business objectives, engineering capabilities, and AI strategy.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
- Manage project scope, risks, and resources.
Technical Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in technical project/program management, with a focus on Data, Analytics, and Cloud.
- Strong experience in data architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing.
- Proven experience managing AI/ML or data engineering projects.
- Knowledge of SQL and various database technologies.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Hands-on experience with project management tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, or Smartsheet.
- 10 years of Healthcare domain experience, including FHIR, HL7, and CCDA.
- Exposure to AI / advanced analytics programs.
- Mandatory: PMP Certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the public sector (State/Federal/Local Government).
- Certifications such as SAFe, PMI-ACP, TOGAF, or Cloud certifications.
Location and Work Arrangement:
- Location: Austin, TX (Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of Austin).
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days remote, 2 days onsite (Wednesday & Friday required onsite).
- Onsite Requirement: In-person interviews through Microsoft Teams are part of the interview process.
- Submission Requirements: Active Texas Driver’s License and LinkedIn ID are mandatory for submission. Candidates must already reside in Texas.
Public sector (State / Federal / Local Govt.) client experience is preferred.

Local to Austin area only (within 50-mile radius); Must already reside in Texas; Active Texas DL & LinkedIn ID required for submission; Public Sector client experience preferred; In-person interviews through Microsoft Teams.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $70 – $90 per year (Estimated)
