Job Description:
This role is not a standard JIRA Administration position. The customer’s JIRA instance is highly complex and heavily customized, and the expectation is for someone who can contribute independently in a development-heavy JIRA environment from day one.
Based on recent interview feedback, the following gaps were repeatedly observed:
- Lack of hands-on experience with JIRA REST APIs
- No practical exposure to Script Runner for JIRA Cloud
- Experience limited to basic JIRA Administration
- Only basic knowledge of JIRA Automation Rules
To move forward effectively, we are specifically looking for candidates with 6+ years of strong, hands-on experience in:
Key Responsibilities and Requirements:
- JIRA Administration
- JIRA development and advanced customization
- JIRA Automation Rules
- Groovy scripting (especially using Script Runner for JIRA Cloud)
- JIRA REST API integrations
- Post-migration activities and large-scale JIRA migrations
- Developing custom solutions beyond out-of-the-box JIRA features
Please ensure that submitted candidates:
- Have real, hands-on scripting and development experience, not just admin experience
- Have worked on complex, enterprise-scale JIRA instances
- Can clearly explain use cases they have personally implemented (scripting, integrations, migrations)
- Are capable of contributing independently in a highly customized JIRA environment
Special Requirements
Requires hands-on scripting and development experience, experience with complex enterprise-scale JIRA instances, ability to explain implemented use cases, and capability to contribute independently in a highly customized JIRA environment. Experience with JIRA REST APIs, Script Runner for JIRA Cloud, JIRA Automation Rules, and Groovy scripting is essential.
Compensation & Location
Salary: $80,000 – $130,000 per year (Estimated)
