Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Application Architect III with strong expertise in power analysis, low-power design methodologies, and the RTL-to-GDSII flow. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in optimizing power efficiency across design stages and contributing to automation and modeling initiatives using advanced tools and scripting techniques. This role is essential for pushing the boundaries of semiconductor design efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive power analysis across multiple design stages, from RTL through GDSII.
  • Develop, enhance, and automate power analysis flows to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Gather, process, and analyze large datasets to support power modeling and optimization efforts.
  • Identify and resolve power inefficiencies, providing actionable insights and recommendations to RTL design teams.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to improve overall design efficiency and performance.

Required Qualifications

  • 8-10 years of experience in semiconductor design and power analysis.
  • Strong experience with the RTL-to-GDSII design flow, particularly in advanced technology nodes (7nm and below).
  • Expertise in low-power design techniques, including: Power gating, Multi-voltage domains, Unified Power Format (UPF).
  • Hands-on experience with industry-standard power analysis tools such as PrimeTime PX / PrimePower.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages, especially Python, with exposure to ML/AI frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of RTL design principles.
  • Experience with RTL power optimization tools such as PowerArtist.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with synthesis and Place & Route (PnR) flows.
  • Experience in analyzing IP designs for power characteristics.
  • Ability to build runtime estimation models for software/firmware teams.
  • Knowledge of data analysis, data modeling, and machine learning techniques.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $70 – $90 per year (Estimated)
