Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Sr. Java Developer with a minimum of 10+ years of experience in enterprise Java development. This role requires a strong foundation in Computer Science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering advanced solutions for multi-tier/distributed web applications, with a solid understanding and practical experience in AWS.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain enterprise-level Java applications using Java 8 and above.
- Utilize Spring Framework, Spring Data, Spring Boot, RESTful Services, JUnit, and TestNG for development and testing.
- Implement and manage REST APIs, working with XML and JSON data formats.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle) and NoSQL databases.
- Build low-latency service APIs and data aggregation pipelines.
- Articulate the benefits of Test Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration (CI).
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, designing scalable and maintainable software solutions.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment.
- Take ownership of project deliverables and demonstrate a keen eye for quality.
- Work effectively in a team environment, demonstrating strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Technical Skills Required
- Java 8 and above
- Spring Framework (Spring, Spring Data, Spring Boot)
- Oracle Database
- No-SQL Databases
- REST API development and management
- JPA and Hibernate
- AWS knowledge and experience
- Experience with J2EE technologies
- Knowledge of Web Services, XML, JSON, HTTP, SSL, TCPIP
- Caching solutions and application performance tuning
- Test Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration (CI)
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in enterprise Java development.
- Minimum 1 year of experience specifically with Apple products/environment (as an ex-Apple candidate).
- Strong foundation in Computer Science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms).
- Experience in delivering advanced solutions for multi-tier/distributed web applications with AWS.
- Hands-on programming experience with Java and J2EE.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented concepts.
- Experience developing applications using relational databases (e.g., Oracle) and NoSQL data stores.
- Experience building low latency service APIs and data aggregation pipelines.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to design scalable and maintainable software solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-driven with a strong ability to take ownership of project deliverables.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Additional Information
- This is a hybrid role located in Austin, TX.
- The rate is $60/hour C2C.
- Preference for candidates who are ex-Apple candidates and have H1b status.
