Job Summary

We are seeking a Blue Yonder TMS Configuration Specialist to support the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Blue Yonder Transportation Management SaaS. The role focuses on enabling inbound, outbound, and intercompany logistics processes by translating business requirements into scalable system configurations aligned with global supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • TMS Configuration & Setup
  • Configure Blue Yonder TMS SaaS modules for planning, execution, freight settlement, and visibility.
  • Set up master data including locations, networks, lanes, calendars, carriers, service levels, and equipment profiles.
  • Configure rates, contracts, accessorials, and fuel surcharge structures.
  • Define transportation policies, constraints, and optimization parameters.
  • Business Process Enablement
  • Translate business requirements into system configurations for inbound, outbound, and intercompany logistics.
  • Support shipment lifecycle processes including tendering, tracking, scheduling, and exception management.
  • Configure workflows, alerts, event management, and user roles/permissions.
  • Integration & Data Management
  • Collaborate with integration teams for data exchange between TMS and ERP, WMS, OMS, and carrier systems.
  • Validate APIs, EDI transactions, and interface readiness.
  • Support data mapping, testing, and issue resolution.
  • Testing & Deployment Support
  • Support unit testing, SIT, UAT, and regression testing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve configuration defects.
  • Assist with deployment, cutover, and post-go-live stabilization.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Analyze transportation performance and optimize configurations for cost, service, and compliance.
  • Support enhancements, carrier onboarding, and evolving business needs.
  • Ensure adherence to governance and change control processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Education & Experience
  • Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in Transportation Management Systems.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Blue Yonder TMS SaaS configuration.
  • Technical Skills
  • Strong expertise in Blue Yonder TMS configuration and business rules.
  • Deep knowledge of shipment planning, optimization, tendering, execution, and freight settlement.
  • Experience with multi-modal transportation (road, air, ocean).
  • Familiarity with SaaS-based configuration (no custom coding).
  • Understanding of integrations (APIs, EDI, file-based interfaces).
  • Experience with tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Salary: $70 – $90 per year
