Role Overview
The Data Architect will be a pivotal member of our enterprise data team, responsible for designing and implementing robust data architectures that support large-scale business operations in New York City. This onsite role requires a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience in the field, specifically focusing on high-performance data environments. You will lead the charge in defining data strategies, ensuring that our data infrastructure is scalable, secure, and optimized for complex analytical workloads. As we move into 2026, the complexity of data ecosystems continues to grow, and this role is at the forefront of managing that evolution for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain comprehensive enterprise-level data models that align with business objectives and technical requirements.
- Oversee the end-to-end data lifecycle, including data ingestion, transformation, storage, and archival processes.
- Implement advanced data transformation logic using industry-leading tools such as Informatica and Talend.
- Optimize database performance for PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Snowflake environments, ensuring low-latency access and high availability.
- Develop and enforce data governance standards and best practices across the organization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical data solutions, particularly within the banking and financial services domain.
- Utilize Power BI to create insightful data visualizations and reporting frameworks for executive decision-making.
- Write and maintain complex SQL queries and Unix Shell scripts to automate data processing tasks.
- Evaluate and integrate emerging data technologies, such as Databricks and Spark, to enhance our data ecosystem.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior data engineers and analysts.
Technical Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise data architecture and performance engineering.
- Expertise in data modeling tools and methodologies (ER/Studio, Erwin, etc.).
- Proficiency in ETL/ELT tools, specifically Informatica and Talend.
- Deep knowledge of relational and cloud-based databases: PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Snowflake.
- Advanced SQL skills and experience with Unix Shell Scripting for automation.
- Experience with business intelligence tools, primarily Power BI.
- Strong understanding of data archival strategies and performance tuning in high-volume environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working within the banking or financial services industry.
- Hands-on experience with Python for data engineering tasks.
- Exposure to modern big data platforms like Databricks and Apache Spark.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an onsite, collaborative environment.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $195,000 – $265,000 per year (Estimated)
