Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Java Backend Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong core Java fundamentals and at least 5 years of experience building large-scale applications using Java backend programming. Experience working on cloud environments (public or private) is strongly preferred. This role requires a deep understanding of software development methodologies and the ability to perform due diligence across all lifecycle stages, including analysis, build, and testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own all technical aspects of software development for assigned applications.
- Participate in the design and development of systems and application programs.
- Identify opportunities to adopt innovative technologies.
- Work with product owners to prioritize features for ongoing sprints and manage a list of technical requirements based on industry trends, new technologies, known defects, and issues.
- Hands-on expertise with application design, software development, and automated testing.
- Troubleshoot problems in test and production environments.
- Ensure strong communication skills and a collaborative team-player attitude.
Technical Skills & Experience:
- Core Java Fundamentals: Strong understanding and application of core Java principles.
- Backend Development: 5+ years of experience building large-scale applications using Java backend programming.
- Cloud Experience: Experience working on Cloud (public or private) is strongly preferred.
- Software Development Methods: Strong knowledge and experience with software development methodologies.
- Testing: Ability to write good JUnit tests and extend code coverage.
- Troubleshooting: Ability to troubleshoot problems in test and production environments.
- Design & Coding: Experience with design and coding in Java, SpringBoot, Kafka, Junits, Mockito, Integration testing, Sonar Cube, log4j, Gradle & maven, Git, Unix & shell scripting, RDBMS, SQL, NoSQL databases, REST.
- Cloud Technologies: Related experience in Docker, Kubernetes, Helm config, Dynatrace.
- Performance Tuning: Experience in performance tuning for sub-second response applications.
Additional Requirements:
- Candidate must be based out of Sunrise, FL to attend F2F interviews at the client location.
- Ability to work in a Hybrid model (3-4 days a week in the FL location).

Compensation & Location
Salary: $100,000 – $140,000 per year (Estimated)
