Role Overview
The Oracle Incentive Compensation (OIC) Developer will be a key technical architect and implementer responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of sales performance management systems. In the competitive landscape of 2026, accurate and real-time incentive calculations are critical for maintaining sales force motivation and organizational transparency. This role involves translating complex business commission structures into automated, scalable solutions within the Oracle Cloud environment. The successful candidate will bridge the gap between finance, sales operations, and IT, ensuring that compensation plans are not only technically sound but also aligned with strategic corporate objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and configure complex Incentive Compensation Plans, including Plan Components, Performance Measures, and Rate Tables to meet diverse business requirements.
- Develop and maintain sophisticated Classification Rules, Assignment Rules, and Credit Rules to ensure precise transaction processing and attribution.
- Configure advanced Incentive Formulae and utilize Flexfields to accommodate custom data attributes and unique business logic.
- Manage high-volume Import Management processes for Users, Transactions, and Rules, ensuring data integrity across the OIC Cloud Solution.
- Lead technical enhancements and system upgrades to meet evolving business processes and application requirements.
- Architect and deploy custom Reports and Dashboards using OTBI (Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence) and Data Models to provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to strategize for Oracle Incentive Compensation Cloud Solutions, focusing on performance tuning and security.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data workflows, ensuring seamless deployment and minimal downtime for critical compensation systems.
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting and support for complex data governance and quality issues within the cloud environment.
Technical Requirements and Qualifications
Candidates must possess a deep understanding of the Oracle Incentive Compensation Cloud architecture. Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and web services is essential for integrating OIC with other enterprise systems. Experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) or similar ETL tools is highly preferred. The role requires a professional who can navigate the nuances of global compensation plans, including multi-currency support and regional regulatory compliance. Strong communication skills are vital, as the developer will frequently present technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders in Finance and Sales. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required, along with at least 5 years of hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud applications. This position is onsite in Schaumburg, IL, offering a collaborative environment at the Oracle facility.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $145,000 – $185,000 per year (Estimated)
