Position Summary
K-Tek Resourcing is seeking a seasoned Project Manager and Scrum Master to join our client’s team in Hartford, CT. This dual-role position requires a unique blend of traditional project management discipline and Agile flexibility. In the 2026 corporate environment, the ability to navigate hybrid methodologies is essential for delivering high-quality software solutions on time and within budget. You will serve as a facilitator for cross-functional teams, removing impediments and fostering a culture of continuous improvement while maintaining clear communication with executive stakeholders.
Core Responsibilities
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring the team remains focused on the sprint goal.
- Manage the full software development life cycle (SDLC), blending Agile practices with traditional project management principles where necessary to meet organizational requirements.
- Maintain and optimize Agile artifacts such as product backlogs, sprint backlogs, and burn-down charts using tools like Azure DevOps, Jira, or Rally.
- Coordinate with diverse project teams consisting of Developers, IT Business Analysts, Architects, Quality Assurance professionals, and Business Product Owners.
- Track and report on key performance metrics, including team velocity, cycle time, and quality indicators, to provide transparency to project sponsors.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, proactively managing dependencies across multiple extended teams.
- Drive the adoption of Agile best practices within the organization, mentoring team members and stakeholders on Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
- Extensive experience acting as a Scrum Master in an enterprise IT environment.
- Mandatory Agile Certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM).
- Proficiency in Agile project management software, specifically Azure DevOps, Rally, or Jira.
- Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Project, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, for comprehensive reporting and documentation.
- Strong understanding of various SDLC models and the ability to apply the right methodology to the specific needs of a project.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with a proven track record of managing high-performing technical teams.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $130,000 – $170,000 per year (Estimated)
