Job Summary
We are seeking a Technical Lead, Data Engineering with strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake-based cloud data warehousing and modern ELT development using dbt (Core or Cloud), with deep proficiency in advanced SQL, dimensional modeling (Kimball/Data Vault), incremental and snapshot strategies, performance tuning, and cost optimization in Snowflake. The candidate must have experience designing scalable, production-grade ELT pipelines, implementing CI/CD for dbt, integrating orchestration tools, and enforcing data quality through automated testing and observability frameworks. Strong understanding of cloud platforms and security in Snowflake, version control (Git), and DevOps-driven deployment practices is required, along with demonstrated experience leading technical design reviews and mentoring data engineering teams and work in onsite-offshore model mentoring the offshore members to drive delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ELT pipelines using dbt and Snowflake.
- Implement CI/CD for dbt projects to ensure efficient and reliable deployments.
- Integrate orchestration tools for managing data workflows.
- Enforce data quality through automated testing and observability frameworks.
- Optimize Snowflake performance and manage costs effectively.
- Lead technical design reviews and mentor junior data engineers.
- Collaborate with offshore teams to drive delivery in an onsite-offshore model.
- Ensure strong understanding of cloud platforms and security within Snowflake.
- Utilize version control (Git) and DevOps practices for deployment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in data engineering with a focus on Snowflake.
- Expertise in dbt (Core or Cloud) for ELT development.
- Deep proficiency in advanced SQL.
- Experience with dimensional modeling (Kimball/Data Vault).
- Knowledge of incremental and snapshot strategies.
- Experience in performance tuning and cost optimization in Snowflake.
- Familiarity with CI/CD implementation for dbt.
- Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools.
- Understanding of data quality frameworks, automated testing, and observability.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms and Snowflake security.
- Experience with Git and DevOps practices.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $49 – $49 per year
