Position Summary
Centraprise Global is looking for a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our technical team in Phoenix, AZ. This is a high-impact role requiring a ‘Day 1 Onsite’ commitment, where you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust data pipelines that power our enterprise analytics. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud-native data architectures, specifically within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem, and a passion for engineering high-quality data solutions. You will work closely with data scientists and business analysts to transform raw data into actionable insights, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance at every step of the data lifecycle.
Technical Requirements and Skills
- Extensive experience with Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAGs) for workflow orchestration and pipeline management.
- Deep proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies, including BigQuery, Cloud Dataflow, and Cloud Storage.
- Advanced SQL skills for complex data processing, transformation, and optimization within large-scale databases.
- Hands-on experience running and optimizing Spark jobs for distributed data processing.
- Proven ability to develop high-performance APIs using Python and the FastAPI framework for data delivery.
- Strong focus on Data Quality, implementing automated checks and validation frameworks to ensure data accuracy.
- Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows.
Core Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines that ingest, transform, and load data from diverse sources into cloud data warehouses.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using FastAPI to expose data to downstream applications and services.
- Optimize Spark applications to handle petabyte-scale datasets efficiently, reducing latency and compute costs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Implement rigorous data quality monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve data discrepancies.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering standards and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies across all data engineering activities.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $120,000 – $175,000 per year (Estimated)
