Position Summary: Snowflake Architect (18+ Years Experience)
We are looking for a distinguished Snowflake Architect with over 18 years of experience in Information Technology and Data Architecture to lead enterprise-level data transformation initiatives in Arizona. This role demands a visionary leader who can design and implement scalable, high-performance data warehousing solutions on the Snowflake Data Cloud. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end architecture of modern data platforms, ensuring optimal performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
Core Responsibilities
- Design and govern enterprise-scale data architectures leveraging Snowflake’s unique multi-cluster shared data architecture.
- Lead the migration of legacy on-premise data warehouses (Teradata, Netezza, Oracle) to Snowflake.
- Architect complex ELT/ETL pipelines using Snowpipe, Stream, and Tasks for real-time and batch data ingestion.
- Implement advanced Snowflake features including Zero-Copy Cloning, Time Travel, and Data Sharing.
- Establish robust security frameworks using Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), data encryption, and masking.
- Optimize Snowflake performance through effective micro-partitioning, clustering keys, and query tuning.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering and DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines for data infrastructure.
- Provide strategic guidance on cloud ecosystem integration (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Mentor senior engineers and architects on best practices for dimensional modeling and data vault 2.0.
Technical Expertise Required
Candidates must demonstrate mastery in Snowflake internals and the broader data ecosystem. This includes deep knowledge of SQL, Python, and Java for Snowpark development. Experience with data modeling tools like Erwin or Hackolade is essential. The architect must be proficient in modern data stack tools such as dbt (data build tool), Airflow, and Fivetran. A strong background in traditional RDBMS and NoSQL databases is required to facilitate complex data integration strategies. Expertise in cloud security, networking, and storage within AWS/Azure/GCP is mandatory for this high-level architectural role.
Qualifications and Experience
- 18+ years of total experience in Information Technology with a focus on Data Warehousing and Analytics.
- Proven track record of delivering at least 3 full-lifecycle Snowflake implementations.
- SnowPro Core and SnowPro Advanced Architect certifications are highly preferred.
- Expertise in designing multi-tenant data platforms and data mesh architectures.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence C-suite stakeholders.
- Strong background in Agile/Scrum methodologies and leading distributed global teams.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $195,000 – $260,000 per year (Estimated)
