About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated ServiceNow Security Engineer to govern, secure, and optimize the platform’s critical modules, including Security Operations (SecOps), Vulnerability Response, and IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC/IRM). This role is pivotal in configuring robust security workflows, meticulously managing user access controls, and seamlessly integrating third-party tools to automate threat detection and response mechanisms. You will play a key part in maintaining the security posture and operational efficiency of our ServiceNow environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • SecOps & Vulnerability Management: Configure, maintain, and enhance ServiceNow Security Operations (SecOps) modules, with a specific focus on Vulnerability Response and Security Incident Response functionalities.
  • Platform Security & Access Control: Define, implement, and enforce security policies across the ServiceNow platform. Manage Access Control Lists (ACLs), user roles, and permissions to ensure data privacy and integrity.
  • Automation & Integration: Integrate SecOps capabilities with external security tools such as Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems, endpoint protection platforms, and vulnerability scanner tools (e.g., Tenable, Wiz) to automate workflows and improve threat detection and response times.
  • Governance & Risk (GRC/IRM): Implement and oversee the Integrated Risk Management (IRM) framework within ServiceNow to effectively manage policies, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and support audit processes.
  • Monitoring & Remediation: Monitor security logs and events within the platform, develop and refine risk-based prioritization models for security incidents and vulnerabilities, and drive the execution of remediation workflows to mitigate identified risks.

Required Qualifications

  • ServiceNow Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the ServiceNow platform architecture, with specialized expertise in the SecOps and GRC modules.
  • Security Knowledge: Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, principles of vulnerability management, and incident response procedures.
  • Technical Skills: Proven experience with JavaScript, API integrations, and troubleshooting within the ServiceNow platform environment.
  • Experience: Prior professional experience in a Security Manager, Security Analyst, or Security Developer role with a specialization in ServiceNow.

Preferred Certifications

  • Certified Implementation Specialist – Security Incident Response
  • Certified Implementation Specialist – Vulnerability Response
  • Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • CISSP or other relevant security certifications
