Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Snowflake Data Engineer with Mulesoft expertise for a remote position that requires at least 25% travel to client sites. This role is for an ex-State or Federal client, making prior experience with such clients mandatory. The ideal candidate will have 14-15 years of experience, with a strong background in Data Engineering, Snowflake, and Mulesoft.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure Snowflake objects for CHATS / DECL virtualization and test them.
- Design and modify MuleSoft ETL jobs and Snowflake tables to ingest new attributes.
- Refine and implement ETL pipelines to address data quality issues.
- Build and unit test components of the consolidated data platform.
- Identify PII locations and implement column, row, and tag-based security in Snowflake.
- For MDM focused engineers (IDXR): Analyze mismatches, pass critical data elements, and validate matching results.
- Perform deep dives into data profiling to quantify match failures and data anomalies.
- Support testing and certification of improved match logic.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate or Graduate degree in a relevant field.
- 8+ years of experience supporting Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or Data Analytics projects.
- 2+ years of experience leading a team supporting data-related projects to develop end-to-end technical solutions.
- Ability to travel at least 25% to client sites.
- Excellent experience in Snowflake and Mulesoft.
- Prior experience with State or Federal clients is mandatory.
Preferred Skills
- Demonstrated production experience in core data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure, GCP, Hadoop, and more.
- Hands-on knowledge of Cloud and Distributed Data Storage, including expertise in HDFS, S3, ADLS, GCS, Kudu, Elastic Search/Solr, Cassandra, or other NoSQL storage systems.
- Strong understanding of Data Integration technologies, encompassing Spark, Kafka, eventing/streaming, Streamsets, Nifi, AWS Data Migration Services, Azure DataFactory, Google DataProc.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts.
