Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Java Data Engineer to join a dynamic and growing team in Phoenix, Arizona. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data processing systems using Java.
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes for large-scale datasets.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and Software Engineers.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and availability across all systems.
- Work with structured and unstructured data sourced from multiple origins.
- Optimize system performance and troubleshoot data-related issues proactively.
- Participate actively in architecture discussions and contribute to the development of best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or Backend Engineer with significant data exposure.
- Strong proficiency in Java programming.
- Experience with data processing frameworks such as Spark, Hadoop, or similar technologies.
- Solid understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline design principles.
- Experience working with relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Hive, etc.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with NoSQL databases.
- Exposure to containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
