Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Microsoft Fabric Data Engineering Lead to join our team. This role will be instrumental in building, migrating, and operating scalable data pipelines on the Microsoft Fabric platform. The focus is on hands-on engineering execution, including data ingestion, transformation, quality assurance, and performance optimization, while closely collaborating with Fabric Architects to achieve target designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop robust data ingestion pipelines utilizing Fabric Data Factory, Pipelines, and Notebooks.
  • Implement the Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers, adhering to the defined medallion architecture principles.
  • Execute the migration and modernization of legacy data pipelines to Microsoft Fabric, ensuring thorough validation and reconciliation.
  • Build and refine transformation logic to effectively support enterprise reporting and analytics use cases.
  • Implement comprehensive data quality checks, monitoring systems, and error handling mechanisms to ensure reliable operations.
  • Collaborate closely with BI teams to ensure data structures are optimized for Power BI semantic models and reporting requirements.
  • Support operational readiness, deployment processes, and ongoing data platform support activities.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 8-12+ years of progressive experience in data engineering and analytics platforms.
  • Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including proficiency in Lakehouse, Data Factory, Pipelines, and Notebooks.
  • Strong SQL and data transformation skills, with a demonstrated ability to work with large, complex datasets.
  • Experience in migrating data from legacy platforms to modern data architectures.
  • Familiarity with data quality best practices, DataOps principles, and production support methodologies.
  • Experience working in a remote capacity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Compensation & Location

Salary: $110,000 – $150,000 per year (Estimated)
