About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP Supply Chain & AI Automation Specialist to join our dynamic team in the food manufacturing industry. This is a critical role focused on enhancing our supply chain operations through the strategic integration of SAP functionalities and cutting-edge AI technologies, specifically Microsoft Copilot Studio. You will be instrumental in analyzing, designing, and implementing intelligent solutions that improve lot traceability, optimize demand planning and MRP, and streamline overall operational efficiency. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of SAP expertise, AI development, and business process transformation, with direct visibility to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- SAP Lot Traceability & Analysis: Lead comprehensive analysis of lot and batch traceability across SAP MM, PP, QM, and WM modules. Identify and document current-state issues related to batch genealogy, shelf-life tracking, and FEFO compliance. Design and implement configuration improvements within SAP S/4HANA to resolve traceability gaps and ensure recall readiness.
- Demand Planning & MRP Optimization: Analyze and improve existing MRP models and demand planning processes. Develop enhanced demand planning models considering ingredient shelf life, seasonal patterns, and batch-specific constraints. Configure and fine-tune SAP MRP parameters and provide expertise in SAP IBP or APO for advanced forecasting.
- Microsoft Copilot Studio Development: Design, build, and deploy intelligent agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio, integrating with SAP via OData APIs and Power Platform connectors. Develop applications for natural-language lot traceability, demand planning assistance, recall impact assessment, and executive supply chain summaries. Build Power Automate flows for data orchestration, exception alerting, and approval workflows.
- Showcase & Stakeholder Engagement: Conduct structured demonstrations of developed solutions to business stakeholders, gather feedback, and iterate rapidly. Embed solutions into Microsoft Teams and web channels for broad user adoption. Work closely with supply chain managers, quality teams, and senior leadership to understand pain points and translate them into technical requirements. Produce clear process documentation and user guides.
- Training & Adoption: Run workshops and training sessions to ensure effective adoption of Copilot Studio tools within day-to-day operations.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- SAP Lot Traceability: Hands-on experience with SAP batch management, FEFO, shelf-life settings, and batch where-used reports in MM/PP/QM/WM. Familiarity with GS1 traceability standards.
- SAP MRP & Demand Planning: Proven ability to configure and optimize MRP in SAP S/4HANA. Experience with SAP IBP or APO is a strong advantage.
- SAP Modules: Functional expertise across MM, PP, QM, WM/EWM, SD. Food or FMCG manufacturing experience is required.
- Microsoft Copilot Studio: Ability to design and build custom copilots, topics, actions, and Power Automate flows. Experience connecting copilots to external systems via APIs.
- Power Platform: Proficiency in Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse. Experience using SAP connectors within the Power Platform ecosystem.
- API & Integration: Working knowledge of OData APIs, REST, and SAP BTP or equivalent integration middleware.
- Food Manufacturing Domain: Understanding of food safety regulations, allergen management, traceability requirements (FSMA, HACCP), and production scheduling in an FMCG environment.
- Stakeholder Communication: Excellent ability to present complex SAP and AI topics clearly to non-technical business users. Experience facilitating workshops and delivering live system demonstrations.
Desirable Skills:
- SAP Certified Application Associate in MM, PP, or QM.
- Microsoft Power Platform Functional Consultant certification (PL-200) or Copilot Studio certification.
- Experience with Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, or Generative AI integration.
- Familiarity with GS1 digital link standards and barcode/RFID-based traceability systems.
