Position Summary: Senior BA/PM Hybrid

Radient.AI is looking for a seasoned Senior Business Analyst / Product Manager to join our team in a hybrid capacity based in Chicago, IL. This is a high-impact role designed for a professional with over 15 years of experience who can act as a strategic ‘second-in-command’ to the Lead Product Manager. The ideal candidate will operate within the Energy, Oil & Gas, and Biofuels sector, navigating the complexities of a highly regulated industry while driving digital transformation and product excellence. You will be expected to challenge assumptions, protect delivery timelines, and manage a diverse group of stakeholders across multiple time zones.

Core Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary intake point for new business ideas, performing rapid analysis to clarify ambiguous requirements into actionable user stories.
  • Act as a ‘challenger’ within the product team, using data-driven rationale to push back on scope creep and ensure every feature adds measurable value.
  • Lead backlog grooming and refinement sessions, ensuring that the development team has a clear, prioritized roadmap.
  • Partner with the Lead Product Manager to evaluate trade-offs between immediate ‘quick-fix’ solutions and long-term scalable architecture.
  • Manage delivery governance across both Agile (Scrum) and Waterfall methodologies, adapting the approach to the specific needs of the project.
  • Facilitate high-level discussions between business units, IT, architecture, and external vendors to resolve conflicts and align on delivery goals.
  • Ensure all solutions comply with enterprise architecture standards and stringent regulatory requirements inherent in the Energy sector.
  • Identify and mitigate delivery risks early, providing transparent reporting to executive leadership.

Professional Requirements

  • 15+ years of professional experience in Business Analysis, Product Management, or a hybrid BA/PM role.
  • Deep domain expertise in the Energy, Oil & Gas, or Biofuels industry is mandatory.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority in a large, complex enterprise environment.
  • Expertise in tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, and Microsoft Project.
  • Strong understanding of compliance-driven environments and the ability to support audits and governance reviews.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of presenting complex technical trade-offs to non-technical executive audiences.
  • Relevant certifications such as CBAP, CSM, or Lean Six Sigma are highly desirable.

Working Environment and Culture

This role is based in Chicago and follows a hybrid work model, requiring a balance of in-office collaboration and remote productivity. You will be working with distributed teams across the West Coast and Midwest, requiring flexibility and strong cross-functional management skills. At Radient.AI, we value structured thinkers who can balance speed and quality. This position offers the chance to work on cutting-edge projects that are shaping the future of the energy industry, providing a platform for a senior professional to exercise true leadership and strategic influence.
