Position Summary
Smart IT Frame LLC is seeking a talented and experienced React JS Developer for a long-term hybrid contract opportunity. This role is open to local candidates in either Chicago, IL or Houston, TX. We are looking for a front-end expert who can build scalable, high-performance web applications using the latest React features and ecosystem tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in JavaScript (ES6+) and a passion for creating intuitive user interfaces that provide an exceptional user experience.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-quality, responsive web applications using React.js and modern JavaScript.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and high-fidelity designs into functional code.
- Integrate front-end components with RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints to manage complex data flows.
- Implement robust state management solutions using tools such as Redux, Context API, or Recoil.
- Optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability across various devices and browsers.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices and coding standards.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Engage in CI/CD processes to ensure frequent and reliable software releases.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to maintain high code quality.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the front-end development landscape.
Required Skills and Experience
- For Chicago-based roles: Minimum of 8 years of professional experience with React.js and JavaScript.
- For Houston-based roles: Minimum of 12 years of professional experience with React.js and JavaScript.
- Expert-level proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
- Strong understanding of asynchronous programming and ES6+ features.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git.
- Proven ability to integrate with RESTful APIs and manage data fetching efficiently.
- Familiarity with modern front-end build tools and package managers (e.g., Webpack, Vite, NPM, Yarn).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid position requiring candidates to be local to the Chicago or Houston metropolitan areas. Candidates must be able to commute to the office as per the team’s schedule. This is a long-term engagement offering stability and the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology stacks.

Compensation & Location
Salary: $165,000 – $235,000 per year (Estimated)
